 Manage soft token authenticators

You can perform a number of actions to soft tokens. These include:

Enable or disable a soft token

This option is useful if you misplace your hardware token and need to disable. When you find it again, you can re-enable it.

Reactivate a software token. (See Add and activate Entrust Identity soft token and Add and activate a Google Authenticator).

Edit a label to a token

This option enables you to edit a soft token label. This is useful is you have multiple soft tokens or want to replace a serial number with an easy to remember label. For example, you have a soft token on your phone and another soft token on your tablet. The labels My Phone and My Tablet are easier to identify than a serial number.

Synchronize a software token

A soft token uses an internal clock uses to generate token codes. Over time, the token and the IDaaS clock can become out of sync, which can cause authentication attempts to fail. You can synchronize the hardware token if the clock falls out of sync. Synchronization also happens automatically when a successful token authentication occurs. Before you begin, ensure that your mobile device and cell carrier clocks are synchronized (and account for daylight savings time adjustments, where applicable).
