Edit smart credential settings

After the smart credential has been enrolled, review the smart credential settings to confirm they are configured as required. Changes made to the smart credential settings are uploaded to the Identity on your smart credential application during activation.

Active smart credential settings can also be modified. An Active smart credential must be updated after its settings are modified in Identity as a Service so that the settings on the Entrust Mobile Smart Credential application are updated to match. See Manage assigned smart credentials for instructions.

Edit smart credential

1.      Click > Members > Users. The Users List page appears.

2.      Click the User ID for the user.

3.      Click the Authenticators tab. The Authenticators page appears.

4.      Click  to the right the smart credential that you want to edit and click Details. The Smart Credential Details dialog box appears.

Note: A smart credential in an Enrolling state indicates that one or more of the required settings for the smart credential are not set. Enter the values for the missing attributes to bring the Mobile Smart Credential to an Enrolled state.

5.      Under Settings, confirm that a value has been selected for the required digital IDs. A smart credential cannot be activated unless a value has been selected for the required digital IDs. Modify this setting if the CA configuration has changed since enrolling the smart credential, and the old CA Card Holder Digital ID needs to be replaced with a new one.

6.      Modify the Variable Values settings as required.

a.      Do not modify the First Name listed in the Mobile Smart Credential details.

b.      Do not modify the Last Name listed in the Mobile Smart Credential details.

c.      Set Email Address to the email address of the user being given this Mobile Smart Credential. A valid email address must be entered.

d.      The default PIV smart credential definition provides a UPN variable that defaults to the User Principal Name (UPN) user attribute. By default, no value is entered as the UPN. Enter a User Principal Name only if you are configuring Identity as a Service to accept smart card login authentication. If the user will use the smart credential for Window Smart Card Login, the UPN of the user's Windows account must be set for the smart credential. See Map a User Principal Name attribute for Smart Login  for more information.

e.      Do not modify the UUID. This is a unique character string used to identify each smart credential.

7.      Click Save. The smart credential is now in an Enrolled state.
