Manage assigned smart credentials

After you add a mobile smart credential to a user, you can make the following changes:

Enable or disable a mobile smart credential

You can enable or disable an Active mobile smart credential.

       Unassign a mobile smart credential

When a mobile smart credential in Identity as a Service is activated, the mobile smart credential is associated with an Identity in the user's Mobile Smart Credential application. Unassigning a smart credential  breaks that association making it possible to assign the mobile smart credential to a different mobile smart credential Identity.

Being able to unassign a mobile smart credential is ideal if you want to activate a mobile smart credential on a different mobile device. You can reuse an existing mobile smart credential that is already enrolled on an Identity as a Service account by unassigning it on Identity as a Service and activating it to a different Identity on a mobile device.

       Unblock mobile smart credential

A smart credential becomes blocked when an incorrect PIN is entered too many times in response to a mobile smart credential authentication challenge. The Unblock feature allows you to unlock a mobile smart credential.

       Update a mobile smart credential

If the certificate authorities (CAs) or smart credential definitions have changed or expired, use the Update function to update mobile smart credentials with new ones. The credential must be in the Active state. The Update option is available only if certificate authorities of the smart credential  definitions of a mobile smart credential have changed. A user must have an email to update the mobile smart credential.

       Delete a mobile smart credential

You can delete a mobile smart credential assigned to a user.
