Manage unassigned grid cards

When you unassign a grid card from a user, grid card moves to the unassigned list and can then be reassigned to another user. You can also filter to see the state of assigned and unassigned grid cards and export unassigned and unassigned grid cards for bulk operations.

To modify, in bulk, the state of existing assigned user grid cards, see Set grid card state.

Note: You cannot unassign a grid if it has been used. You can only unassign grid cards that have never been used (last used date is never).

Assign unassigned grid cards to users

Unassign Grid Cards from users

1. Click > Resources > Grid Card. The Grid Cards page appears.

2. Click the Unassigned Grid Cards tab. The Unassigned Grid Cards list appears.

3. Select the grid card with the serial number that you want to unassign from a user. You can only unassign one grid card at a time.

4. Click next to the grid card you want to assign. The Assign Grid Card dialog box appears.

5. Enter the User ID for the user being assigned the grid card and then click Assign.

Edit group membership of unassigned grid cards

Group assignment is set when you generate unassigned grid cards. If required,after generating the unassigned grid cards, you can restrict access to unassigned grid cards to certain administrator roles by editing the group membership. You can edit group membership to individual unassigned grid cards only.

Edit group membership

1. Click > Resources > Grid Card. The Grid Cards page appears.

2. Click the Unassigned Grid Cards tab. The Unassigned Grid Cards list appears.

3. Click next to the grid card you want to restrict access to the unassigned grid card..

4. To add groups, select the groups from the drop-down list. You can select multiple groups.

5. To delete groups, remove the group from the list.

6. Click Submit.
