A smart credential is blocked when an incorrect PIN is entered too many times in response to a Mobile Smart Credential authentication challenge. The Unblock feature allows you to unlock the Mobile Smart Credential on your mobile application.
Unblock smart credential
1. Go to > My Profile.
The My Profile page appears.
2. Click the Authenticators tab. Your list of assigned authenticators appears.
3. Click
to the right of the Smart
Credential - PIV that you want to unlock. A drop down list appears.
4. Click
Unblock. An Unblock
Smart Credential popup window appears.
5. Open your Entrust Mobile Smart Credential application on your mobile device.
6. On the Identities page, tap the name of the Identity that is currently blocked. The Identity Details appear.
7. Under PIN Management, select Reset Forgotten PIN. A Reset PIN page appears. An Unblock Challenge PIN appears at the top of that page. This is the PIN that must be entered into the Unblock Smart Credential popup window on Identity as a Service.
8. Enter the Unblock Challenge PIN displayed on the mobile application into the Unblock Smart Credential popup window.
9. Click Unblock. An Unblock Response appears.
10. Enter the Unblock Response into the Unblock Response field on your mobile application.
11. Enter a new PIN for your smart credential into the New PIN field on your mobile application. The PIN must meet the PIN Rules that appear on the Reset PIN page on your mobile application. This is the PIN that you must enter to complete future authentication challenges using this smart credential Identity.
12. Enter the same PIN again in the Confirm PIN field on your mobile application.
13. Tap Save. The Status of your smart credential returns to OK (5 Attempts Remaining).
