When all the requirements in this section are met, install the Device Agent.
Administrators can perform a silent installation on multiple computers using the following command:
msiexec.exe /i <The file path of ebReader64.msi> /qn /norestart
Users with administration privileges can install the Device Agent on their own computers. The following procedure is included in the app help and the User Guide.
Install the Device Agent on your Windows computer.
1. Check for other third-party Bluetooth software on your computer.
a. The Device Agent might not work if you have WIDCOMM® or other third-party Bluetooth software installed on your computer. Check to see if your computer uses such third-party software.
b. If you feel it is safe to remove the WIDCOMM or third-party software, do so now. (Make sure none of your existing Bluetooth devices use the software you are removing.)
c. Restart your computer.
You are now ready to install the Device Agent.
2. Obtain the Entrust Device Agent from your IT administrator. It is an .msi file.
3. Copy the .msi file to the computer on which you will log in with your smart credential.
4. Double-click the .msi file.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the reader on your computer.
You have now installed the Entrust Device Agent on your computer.
