Use the Generic RADIUS Client to configure your Virtual Private Network (VPN) server for RADIUS authentication. The Generic RADIUS client works with the Identity as a Service gateway and its RADIUS agent. The Identity as a Service gateway and RADIUS agent act as the RADIUS server in this configuration.
1. Configure a gateway on Identity as a Service. The gateway contains the RADIUS agent that must exist on Identity as a Service before you create a RADIUS application. For more information on gateways, see Manage Gateways.
2. If you plan to use EAP authentication, download the SSL certificate to the VPN server that you want to connect with Identity as a Service. You must download the SSL certificate from the gateway instance containing the RADIUS agent that you want to connect with your application. See Export SSL certificate for more assistance. This step is not required for RADIUS.
3. Configure your application to work with Identity as a Service. Consult the appropriate Technical Integration Guide (see RADIUS and VPN Integration Guides). Identity as a Service supports a subset of the features described in the technical integration guides. In addition, consult the Identity as a Service Release Notes and the settings of your account for more information on supported features.
